About Us

History

Dated 11.04.1997 and 97.39.2761 and the decision of the Executive Committee of the Higher Faculties of Education started the restructuring process and in this context, depending on Gazi Faculty of Education Department of Elementary Education Department of Social Sciences was opened and began to take students from the academic year 1998-1999. Had its first graduates in 2002. Learning period is four academic years.

Introduction

Students are accepted to our department LYS TS-1 is based on their points. In our department has dual education, including primary and secondary education. Primary and secondary education in the quota of students is 92. Many of our alumni are attached to the Ministry of National Education, primary schools, special schools and classrooms are employed as a teacher. In our department "master" and "PhD" program, carried out in collaboration with the Institute of Education Sciences, Gazi University. ERASMUS students, exchange students are given the opportunity within the scope of FARABİ.

Mission

1) Provide the necessary infrastructure for the purpose of social studies education and training, all the innovations in the field to monitor
2) Domestic and foreign publications to follow, to take advantage of the technology,
3) Disciplines under the umbrella of Social Sciences to conduct research,
4) The achievements of these disciplines in social studies be given to how to more effectively investigate,
5) Very good knowledge about the methods and techniques of teaching social studies, questioning, researchers and students with the ability to communicate a strong and growing of these skills to train prospective teachers in charge.
6) Depending on the overall objectives and principles of Atatürk Turkish National Education to train teachers of social studies.
